What is BAPS?

Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan (BAPS) Sanstha is a volunteer-driven international Hindu organization advocating social service, spirituality, and cultural values. In addition to engaging in volunteerism and spiritual, humanitarian, and cultural endeavours, the Sanstha has constructed magnificent temples around the globe, including the symbolic one in the Capital.

What is a mandir?

A mandir or Hindu temple is a place of worship where Hindu people gather to offer prayers, perform rituals, and seek spiritual guidance.

How many temples are there in Abu Dhabi?

BAPS, the Hindu stone temple, is the first Hindu temple in the Middle East. The intricate marble stone craving can be seen inside the BAPS Hindu Mandir.

What are the unique features of the temple?

The temple, carved by hand from thousands of pink sandstone and white marble, was constructed by the ancient Hindu "Shilpa shastras" (Sanskrit architectural and sculpture scriptures). The 250 valuable narratives of awe-inspiring carvings depict the rich history and culture of various civilizations.

When will it open for the UAE residents?
