As per the news in AirportHaber, some foreign patients who come to Turkey for health tourism are directed to a mandatory doctor's checkup by SunExpress and ground handling company TGS on their return to their country. A fee of 100 euros is requested for this checkup. As per the allegations, a patient who has dental treatment at a clinic in Antalya wanted to check in to board the SunExpress plane for which he had purchased a ticket to return to his country. The TGS ground staff on duty here started that the small swellings on the patient staff on duty here stated that the small swellings on the patient's face caused by dental treatment were unsuitable for admission to the plane. The patient who was declared unable to fly in this way was told that he could board the plane with the approval of the company's doctor.
$100 charged for flyable certification
The passenger was then directed to the company doctor, where he told the doctor that the swelling on his face was due to implant treatment and received a fit-to-fly approval from the doctor. He also paid a fee of 100 euros for this approval. Thinking that this situation was abnormal, the patient contacted the clinic and explained the incident. Clinic officials could have gotten a better response from their communication with SunExpress and TGS. Patients and clinic officials reacted to the mandatory doctor's approval and claimed that this method created income for tourists who would come to Turkey for health tourism.
