Hotel Green Castle Heritage Hotel, Overlooking Kashmere Gate Monument (Ruins of Mughal Period City Gate) KG-16 | H-2 Colonial Period (A.D 1925) MCD notified no. 3(c)/13 | INTACH Listing C-102.This colonial period townhouse is noticed for its large street frontage. The porch is supported by an assortment of cast iron columns and masonry arches. The railing is of ironwork with stucco post. GI sheet chajja run along the length of the facade and forms a hip roof over each doorway which have semicircular arches with fanlight and the adjacent windows follow the same vocabulary. Kashmere gate got its name as the Mughal royal processions used to pass through it on their trips to Kashmir. This gate forms one of the four gates to Mughal King Shah Jahan's empire.
